PROMO MECHANICS


The Department of Tourism (DOT)’s Bring Home A Friend (BHAF) campaign is a referral incentive program wherein Filipinos or Philippine expats who invite foreigners to visit the country will have the chance to win a condo unit, a car, or Php 200,000 worth of gift certificates. Three (3) sponsors and invitees will be selected on the grand draw.

The promo period is from October 15, 2017 to April 15, 2018.

  1. Sponsors
    1. Filipinos of legal age (18 years old and above).
    2. Filipinos with dual citizenship living in the Philippines or abroad as residents or overseas contract workers of legal age (18 years old and above).
    3. Foreigners (expatriates) living in the Philippines permanently or temporarily for a minimum of six months prior to the raffle; of legal age (18 years old and above).
  2. Invitees
    1. Anyone holding a foreign passport or dual citizenship living abroad for a minimum of six months prior to the event 
    2. Has traveled to the Philippines during the specified period of time

    A. Sponsors

    1. 1st Prize – Condominium unit from Megaworld Corporation
    2. 2nd Prize – Toyota Vios
    3. 3rd Prize – Php200,000 Gift certificate from Duty Free Philippines

    B. Invitees

    1. 1st Prize – Two Roundtrip International Business Class Tickets + Two Roundtrip Domestic Tickets to Palawan + 5day/4night stay at El Nido Hotel and Resort
    2. 2nd Prize – Two Roundtrip International Premium Economy (or Economy if not applicable) Class Tickets + Two Roundtrip Domestic Tickets to Cebu
    3. 3rd Prize – Two Roundtrip International Economy Class Tickets + Two Roundtrip Domestic Tickets to Davao + 5day/4night stay at Pearl Farm Beach Resort
  1. Interested sponsors must first access the BHAF official website — accessible via the Department’s website tourism.gov.ph — and sign up for the Sponsor registration.
  2. Sponsors must completely fill out the following fields during sign-up:
    1. Complete Name
    2. Address
    3. Region
    4. Email Address
    5. Mobile Number
    6. Birthdate
    7. Gender
    8. Civil Status
  3. After sign-up, a message with a verification tab from BHAF will be sent to each sponsor via email. The sponsor only needs to click the activation link to confirm his/her email address and complete the registration process.
  4. Only sponsors who have successfully signed up and confirmed their registration via email are qualified to invite.
  5. Sponsors must log-in at the BHAF website and fill out the form in the Invite A Friend Now tab by providing the name and email address, and a personalized message to his/her invitee.
  6. Invitees will receive an email from BHAF Web Administrator with the link for the Invitees’ details as follows:
    1. Complete Name
    2. Address
    3. Continent
    4. Nationality
    5. Passport No
    6. Date of Arrival
    7. Point of embarkation
    8. Flight No
    9. First visit in the Philippines
    10. Address in the Philippines
  7. Invitees must upload in the website through the link emailed the photo (in JPG format) of the following proofs of his/her travel:
    1. Airline ticket
    2. Boarding pass
  8. Once uploaded, invitees will receive an email notification with the coupon number/s.
  9. The number of raffle entries per registered invitee will depend on the invitee’s point of origin:
    1. Asia: 1 entry
    2. Australia/Oceania, Middle East: 2 entries
    3. Africa, Europe, South America, North America: 3 entries
  10. Sponsors can view the status of their invitees, coupons, and invitations in the Dashboard of the BHAF website
  11. Sponsors can send as many invitations as possible.
  12. Only entries present in the DOT's system database within the promo duration are valid.
  13. All sponsors and invitees are presumed to have read and understood, as well as agree and abide by, the promo's complete terms and regulations.
  1. Winners will be selected through electronic raffle draw.
  2. Draw winners from the electronic randomizer housed at the DOT IT Department to be witnessed by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and DOT.
  3. Grand draw date will be held in April 2018.

All winners will be notified via email, SMS, and email. List of winners will also be posted on DOT website and social media accounts.

  1. Winners residing within Metro Manila must claim their prize in DOT Head Office - Penthouse of The New DOT Building, 351 Sen. Gil J. Puyat Ave, Makati, 1200 Metro Manila
  2. Winners residing outside Metro Manila must claim their prize from the DOT Regional Office, Foreign Office, or Market Representative Office.
  3. Winners should claim their prize within 60 days after the Grand Raffle Draw otherwise said prize will be forfeited.
  4. To claim the prize, invitees must submit beforehand and have the following verified —
    1. Notification from DOT
    2. Photocopy of two valid, government-issued IDs with photo.
    3. Proof of relations with the sponsor such as photos or any electronic or written communication prior to arrival.

    3. Sponsors may claim their prizes only after his/her invitee’s date of arrival to the Philippines has been verified.

All DOT and sponsor company employees, its attached agencies, and their relatives up to the third degree of affinity or consanguinity are disqualified from joining the promo.
